Omni International Expands Bead Ruptor 24 Tube Carriage Range at ASMS 2015
Kennesaw, GA, June 3, 2015 – Omni International announced today that it will unveil an expanded tube carriage range for their popular Bead Ruptor 24 bead mill homogenizer at the 63rd Annual Meeting of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, St. Louis MO. The Bead Ruptor 24 is the most powerful bead mill available and is now capable of processing samples in volumes exceeding 15 mL. The addition of three new tube carriages will allow researchers to rapidly disrupt samples in 15 mL, 30 mL and 50 mL conical centrifuge tubes. The 15 mL and 50 mL tube carriages are capable of processing up to three samples simultaneously while the 30 mL tube carriage is a six place format for customers requiring higher throughput processing.
By expanding the volume range of the Bead Ruptor 24 platform researchers pursuing DNA/RNA and small molecule extractions from plant materials will now be able to work with larger plant samples such as whole fruits and leaves. This opens up the system to being compatible with the popular QuEChERS pesticide extraction procedures that make use of 15 and 50 mL centrifuge tubes.
