Platelets were lysed and homogenized in 12 ml of 50 mM Tris HCL, pH 7.4 buffer using a rotor stator homogenizer (ultra-turrax) for ten seconds at 2/3 full speed and then centrifuged at 49000 X g for 15 minutes at 4 degrees Celsius.
