Caveolin-1-enriched membrane domains were purified from cultured CEM/S, CEM/VLB0.45 and CEM/VLB5 cells. Cells (1.3×108) were suspended in 330 μl of Mes buffer (pH 6.5) and homogenized by sonication with three 30 s bursts separated by a 1 min cooling period using an ultrasonic homogenizer (sonicator).
